Open the day
Start the day with the cash float and set when your business day begins.
Each working day starts with an opening and ends with a Z closure.
Open the day
- Open Closures or tap Start the Day when TPVStream suggests it.
- Type the Opening amount: the cash in the drawer when you start (float). You can tap a quick amount.
- Tap Open the day.
This amount is used at closing to work out the expected cash.
Cash in and cash out
During the day, record money that goes into or out of the drawer without being a sale (change from the bank, paying a supplier) with Cash Movement: Cash In or Cash Out, with the amount and the reason. The closure takes them into account.
Venues that close after midnight
If your bar closes at 3:00, early-morning sales should count towards the previous day.
- In Closures, tap Configure business day.
- Choose the Start hour, for example 04:00.
With 04:00, a ticket at 3:30 belongs to the previous day.
If the previous day wasn't closed, TPVStream detects it and offers to close it. See Close the day.
